Question by Mike: What kind of business is music tour planning?

Right now I am a business student and exploring all of the different areas of business that I am interested in. The one I am having trouble finding information for is planning out concerts and tours for bands like Warped Tour, Bamboozle, or the regular tours bands go on. Is there a specific kind of business that involves planning these tours out?

if you find a good musician to partner with, you could do all the work and they could find other musicians, im sure that would turn out to be a good concert
