Mothers

Question by Confused Girl: What exactly is welfare, and why are mothers on welfare hated?

I am not a mother, nor do I plan on having children soon. I have just recently been reading answers from people saying that they hate mothers on welfare. What is welfare and how does it affect other people?

Best answer:

Answer by GERBER baby.
Welfare is help people receive from the state [taxpayers].
Welfare is food stamps/cash assistance. Of course people judge people without knowing their story. Before I had my daughter, I worked 12 hour shifts and made great money. My fiance also worked as a forklift driver and made a good amount of money also. I took maternity leave and my fiance got laid off during my pregnancy. We're not two lazy people who love taking free money. We need anything we can get. We were tax payers once and we're still looking for work. I'm grateful for the help we've been getting but without God we would have nothing.
