Biographies, Memoirs, Thing, Same


Question by Nikki: Are memoirs the same thing as biographies?

For my summer reading hw, I'm supposed to read a nonfiction book that is NOT a biography. Does that mean I can't read a memoir?
I have been told that memoirs are similar enough to be counted as a biography.

Well they are quite similar, but a memoir is an account of just a few select events in someone's life, while a biography is pretty much all of their life. Hope I helped.
