I am in IT (Systems Developer/Web Developer) and am thinking of moving into project management

Probably the most recognized is the Project Management Professional certificate offered by www.pmi.org.

Please remember that the training and certificate will be a benefit but companies/employers want to see actual experience and successful project management.
